Q&A

• Are children allowed at the wedding?

  Although we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to limited seating. We hope you are able to join us anyway to enjoy a relaxed evening with friends and family!

• Can I bring a plus one?

  Due to limited space, we hope you appreciate that guests are only invited if named on the invitation. If you have any questions, please reach out to Elise or Aden directly!

• What is the dress code?

  Our dress code is “shire formal” or semi-formal garden party attire. Feel free to come dressed to the nines, but remember you will be outdoors in September so please be comfortable and layer accordingly!

• Is this a costume party/cosplay event?

  While this wedding will certainly be a merry hobbit gathering, it is also a semi-formal event. The bride & groom kindly request that attendees refrain from costume or cosplay outfits (though they would be thrilled to dress up together with you for the next ren faire!)

• Will food be provided?

  Yes! It is the happy couple’s honor to serve appetizers, dinner, and dessert at the reception following the dinner. Unlimited soft drinks, juice, and water will be provided free of charge for all guests.

• Is there on-site parking?

  The ceremony and reception will be hosted at the same venue. On-site parking is available in the lot approximately 100 feet from the reception pavilion. Two ATVs will be operated by the venue staff throughout the day to ferry guests to and from the parking lot.

• Will the wedding be held outside?

  Yes. This will be an outdoor wedding in mid-autumn, so please dress warmly! The reception pavilion is covered, but the sides are open to the elements. In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the round barn. 

• Can I take photos/video of the ceremony?

  The bride and groom kindly request that their guests refrain from photography or videography during the ceremony. Two professional photographers and a professional videographer will be capturing every magical moment (and you can bet the happy couple will be sharing them on social media for years to come!)

  There will however be a photobooth and plenty of opportunities to capture the fun in photos at the reception!
